Those were hiragana, not kanji, and it didn’t just say “to be continued”. I had problems reading the awful handwriting here, but I think it said “to be continued, maybe”. That’s what I meant with there might be a continuation. I just didn’t remember the word “sequel” would have been more appropriate ^^
usually a translated "A WA RI" would mean a possible sequel……
Awari means "the end". Suzuku is the one that means "to be continued".
