   FFVII does not suck… infact its one of most popular series in the whole FF series. and for me personaly i like FFVII more than FFVIII(although they both r great games) cuz its got a great storyline which FFVIII doesnt have.

   A remake of FFVII will be coming soon on the PS3

   wel… ff7 may be popular… but only because something is popular doesnt meen its truly good..
   i personly dont like ff7…
   and so does square enix..
   they just slaughter out everything of the license they have just to make fu**in money..
   and i think they should be punished for it >.>
   makin money with stuff from others (they fired the final fantasy father after ff-x as we all know) so its all about money now…

   Personally I liked FFX and FFX-2. They where both good though FFX-2 was a little ehh. But FFx is the ebst to me. There already are FFX game though so I can’t complain.

   x-2 alreaday was without him and from square enix…
   you can see the difference between squaresoft and square enix from ff-x to ff xii…
   x-2 is kinda okay… but 12 sucks bad already… and so does almost everything now

   FF 12 was the biggest insult of a final fantasy I’ve ever seen. If I can fall asleep while playing and gain 10 levels, there’s something wrong. Me falling asleep in general means…there’s something wrong.

    Couldnt agree less, FF12 is a hell of a game, one of the best FF there is, many ppl dont like it coz the story aint the same lovey lovey lets kill a huge monster and ok. Better than FF7, imo. Not as good as FF8, the best FF imo

    You’re all cads. FFVII is popular for a reason. Best story, best characters, most original.

    I used to think FFVIII was better, too! See, funny thing was, then I actually played FFVII and (swear to god) parts of it made me cry. VIII didn’t do that, neither did IX, and I didn’t really like X or X-2 (the latter royally SUCKED).

    Anyway, FFVII does make you cry, but the whole actual story had twenty billion plotholes and the main evil character was just there…

    He just randomly went on a killing spree just because he’s made of jenova cells and then randomly decides to follow jenova’s plot. Oh yeah, he randomly decides to become God even though he was a good guy earlier. People really change just over a small fact like your family is different.

    FFVIII’s story was a lot more involved though admittedly, the junction system was long, exhausting, and terrible. The use of the time and space and memories was also a nice touch. As for the main evil, does everyone here understand that rinoa is ultimecia… okay, anyway, bottom line. FFVII is better overall game, but VIII got the better story

    I agree and disagree with Yojimbo … the story in FF12 was amazing - a lot more political intrigue and complexity than any other FF thus far. However, Yojimbo does raise a very good point … for the most part, gameplay was *boring* - yes, you could literally fall asleep and gain ten levels while the gambits did all the work. Not my idea of a fun game, sorry.

    Whoah, whoah, whoah - FF8 had a better plot? Are we ignoring the bizarrely convenient “all the characters grew up together but we need to explain how they don’t know each other, so GFs make people lose their memories yay!” The game was good for the first two discs, after which point it took a determined nose dive for the floor, with Squall suddenly realizing he likes Rinoa despite being nonchalant almost the whole time. Also, monsters fly out of the moon? 8 was good for two discs, but the whole of the game sinks the average down way below 7, 9, or 10.

    Don’t get me wrong the story was all fine and dandy, but I didn’t exactly like the 2nd rate voice acting (even though ff isn’t exactly famous for voice acting) and the gayest protagonist FF has ever seen(c’mon vaan seriously) Ashe wasn’t bad though xD. And on the subject of FF7 being so popular, people always say it was so original; but really now what’s so original about a blond amnesiac who thinks he’s someone else and has to stop the world from literally blowing up. Understand it was a good game, but people go through too great lengths of defending it.

    all of ff games was all good rpg…. all of play only ff7 to ff12 how about the original ff??? i mean 2 say is all of you sucks you only appreciate small amount how about appreciate all…. dont you all think???

    Sorry guys, you all wrong
    The best are FFVI and FFVII. FFVI has plot, characters and gameplay outstanding. It’s one of the best game for SNES ever made. And FFVII is the one that launched the PSX (many sold only for that game). You should keep in mind that a game who comes after should improve the prequel in some way and the only way Square improved games after FFVII are in the graphic contents. The gameplay was horrible in FFVIII (and I don’t wanna to talk about the gameplay of FFXII…).
    The peak of Square JRPG are definitely FFVI and FFVII.
    And nowadays you can’t call “JRPG Games” some crap like FFX-2 and FFXII. The first is a huge bunch of stupid mini-game with the only goal of create a crappy happy ending for people who had complaints about how FFX ended, and the second… I don’t wanna comment a game where you are supposed to not open some chests in order to get the best weapon of the game (I mean, they are CHESTS, they are there to be opened! -.-). All Square games nowadays need a guide to finish them 100% while it wasn’t so in early games (or at least you needed only some tips).

    sigh…..personally I like IX but I also like all of the others except XII and haven’t played XI the online one because they got rid of the original summons……. I have played every final fantasy thats my opinion and if anyone flames this comment saying that I’m a idiot or insults me I’m going to be extremely irritated

    FFVII > FFVIII, FFIX, FFX, FFX-2, FFXI, FFXII

    Why? I have my reasons. The gameplay didn’t suit me at all for FFVIII - FFXII.

    Although, I may have to look into FF Versus XIII. Not FFXIII though.

    FFVI owns too.
